Author: William Herbert McMaster. The report contains experimental data, theoretical values, and other information associated with the x-ray cross section compilation given in Volume 1 of this report.

This material is not needed to use the cross sections, but is useful for understanding how they were obtained and for estimating their reliability. A search of the literature was made for the period from through Juneto obtain experimental x-ray cross sections for the elements in the energy range from keV to 1 MeV.
